21,128. Singer Manufacturing Co., Corrall, H., and Heggie, J. Oct. 17. Multiple-needle sewing-machines.-Relates to the machine described in Specification 27,992/13 for sewing hat sweat-bands, in which a rotary loop-taker and two co-operating needles are arranged obliquely to the line of feed, and a thread finger is provided for engaging the lower thread so as to position the thread lock at the edge of the binding, and consists in feeding- devices, a gear case for the loop-taker shafts and the bevel-gearing, and an arm which holds the bobbin case from rotation and by means of an extension prevents the needle-thread loops from being overthrown when cast off. Feed by presser-feet and the like; presser lifted automatically.- The feed-foot 15 is carried by a bar 27 receiving horizontal movement from a lever 25 adjustably connected with a lever 23. The presser-bar 37 and the feed-bar 27 are raised alternately by means of a lever 33. which pivots on each alternately as it is oscillated by a lever 31 and link 32. The lever 31 is carried by a tubular shaft surrounding the shaft of the lever 33.
