Roll holders and cases.-A box for holding a roll of velvet &c. mounted on a roller A, Fig. 4, has at the centre of each end vertical slots, in which the ends of the roller rest. Retaining-springs F having extensions shaped as shown at G are provided; the parts G project through the wall of the box and may be withdrawn by the fingers, leaving the roller free to be removed from the box. Instead of extensions shaped as shown, buttons H, Fig. 5, attached to the springs by spindles, may be employed.
