[Published under Section 91 of the Act.] Types.-Sets of types for printing dots to build up pictures in systems of facsimile telegraphy, comprise types f o r printing graded shades and outlines. For use in typecomposing machines, the types are rectangular and are provided with twelve dots formed by arcs, the dots on the types for printing uniform shades being of the same size and the dots on the types, such as are shown in Fig. 30, for printing graded shades being of two different sizes and arranged in various groupings.
