Abstract

9114. Janville, T. J. F. M. de M. de. April 30, 1913, [Convention date]. Wigs.-A protector for the skull in cases of wounds, sickness, or baldness, comprises a metal shell formed in two parts 1, 1 shaped exactly to the head and covered with hair so as to form a wig. The boundaries of the protector extend beyond the position 4<1>-5<1> of maximum diameter of the skull so that when the parts 1, 1 are locked together by means of the hooks 3 the protector is held firmly in place. The edges of the parts 1 are strengthened by metal bands 8. The parts may be permanently connected by a plate spring 2. The protector may be formed in electrotype metal from a mould of the skull, but may be modified in shape for the sake of appearance.
