Inking-apparatus.-Means for regulating the dwell of the vibrator on a constantly rotating fountain roll a comprises a fixed cam e<1> and a loose cam e<2> on the shaft rotated from a wormwheel d, each cam being adapted to engage a roller on a rock-shaft carrying the vibrator. The cam c<2> is integral with a bevel-pinion s loose on the shaft b and rotated from another bevel-pinion w fixed to the shaft b, through a bevel-pinion n carried on a ring p mounted loosely and having a segmental worm-wheel engaged by a hand-operated worm q supported on the framework r. By rotating this worm q, the cams e<1>, e<2> are advanced or retarded relatively, by which greater or less cam-surface is exposed, thus varying the dwell of the vibrator.
