8290. Bagley, J. P. April 2. Core-bars; moulds.-A collapsible core-bar for use in casting ingot moulds has a central tapered portion 1 with a base 2 arranged to engage a seating in the mould, and tapered side portions 4, 5, of channel section registered in position by lugs and staples 9, 8, and lugs and sockets 6 such that end movement in one direction only is permitted for collapsing the core. Holes 14 provide for engagement by crane hooks. Metal is supplied at 13.
