Pedal guards and guides.-The object is to ensure that, while the driver can rest his feet against the footboard when the pedals are not being used, his feet are guided to the pedals and prevented from slipping therefrom by means of recesses in, or guide-frames on, the footboard. The pedals 4, when in their highest positions, are slightly below the level of the neighbouring sides of the footboard 1 or of the guide-frame attached to the footboard. Heel-rests 7 are provided in combination with the pockets or recesses.
