Abstract

Conveying from working face in mines and the like.-In apparatus for conveying minerals in mines &c., in which carrier plates drawn along a trough 4 are discharged by a scraper into the hutches, the scraper comprises a single blade 5 pivoted opposite the point of discharge so as to rock about the pivot and discharge the material at the same point, in whichever direction the plates are travelling. In a modification, the scraper is formed with two oppositely curved faces. The scraper may have brushes on the under surface, and means 11 may be provided for guiding the plates beneath the scraper.
