Abstract

20,274. Nielsen, N. J. Sept. 8. Sterilizing milk &c.-The pressure is controlled during heating and cooling, so that bursting of the fat globules may be effected or not, as desired. The milk is fed by a pump 6 of variable capacity through a heated tube system 1 and a similar cooler 3 past control valves 10, 14. The speed of the milk in the heater is increased by a circulating-pump 9, and may be increased in the cooler by a pump or injector 11.
