Abstract

Urinary organs, treating.-An appliance for use after circumcision consists of an india-rubber tube a for insertion into the urethra and a thin rubber or like sheath b attached to the tube and adapted to be rolled over or inverted so as to cover the organ and thereby hold surgical dressings and the tube a in place. An ivory tube d with a head e is inserted in the tube a to hold it distended and to prevent collapse of the urethra when rubber bandages are applied to prevent haemorrhage.
