Abstract

Switches, quick-action. -An electric switch, applicable for controlling the various lamp circuits on a motor-driven vehicle in predetermined combinations, comprises a number of rotary disks f . . . f<5> forming knife contacts which are in the form of larger or smaller segments of a circle corresponding to the angular movement through which each disk is intended to make contact. The segmental contacts are mounted on a common shaft e', and are spaced apart by metallic distance-pieces g which connect them together electrically. The contacts co-operate with fixed clip contacts c' insulated from one another. The switch has six definite positions, and a snap-action is produced at each step by the engagement of a fixed bow-shaped spring h, Fig. 3, with a six-sided collar i upon the spindle. The spindle carries an indicator drum k visible through a window in the switch casing.
