Abstract

16,725. Signal Ges. July 29, 1912, [Convention date]. Sirens.-Relates to devices for starting and stopping submarine sirens by which the working pressure medium is automatically shut off before the siren slider stops. In one arrangement, the valve in the admission pipe is controlled by the working current of the siren motor. In another arrangement, shown diagrammatically in Fig. 2, the motors C, K for the siren and fluid-supply pump respectively are controlled by the same switch L, whereby the pump is always stopped before the siren motor, and also the siren motor is already running when the pump starts.
