Cultivators and holes. - The rack-bars 2 pivoted to the side wings 1 of an expanding hoe or scarifier, and the pinion 5. actuating the bars, are housed in a box-like member 3 secured to the central bar 4 of the implement. The pinion spindle 10 passes through a crosspiece 8 fitted between the stilts 9, and the detachable handle 7 is inserted between two of a number of pegs 11 on the piece 8, to lock the wings in the adjusted position. According to the Provisional Specification, the wings may be locked by inserting one of a number of pegs on the detachable handle into one of a number of holes in a disk on the pinion spindle, and binding the free end of the handle to the cross-piece; or the pegs may be on the disk and the holes in the lever.
