6325. Scott, A. March 14. Passing materials through fluid-supplying apparatus.-For the humidification of the yarn or other material in looms or other machines, a pit or well A filled with water is arranged below the machine and is provided with an agitator G operated from the lay-sword, rocking shaft, tappet-shaft, or other moving part of the loom or machine, the water being preferably heated by means of a steam pipe, coil, or jet. Water and steam pipes controlled by cocks and an overflow pipe are provided. According to the Provisional Specification, the water in the trough is maintained at a constant level by means of a float valve.
