Branding by heat.-A branding or soldering apparatus heated internally has a gas-mixing chamber a with burner outlets from which flames play into a heating-chamber b forming a brand or soldering-bit. Mixed gas and air are supplied to the chamber a by a pipe f having outlets f<1> and a mixing-cone e<1>. The burner outlets, with the exception of the central one, have plain nozzles d. The central burner d' is conical and is regulated by a cone e, which may be adjusted by screwing it in or out of the tube f, or by screwing the tube f in or out of the mixing-chamber. The heating-chamber b is hinged at b<1> to the mixing-chamber a, and is fastened by a pivoted bolt c<2> having a wing- nut c<1>.
