Abstract
5960. Justice, P. M., [Kn÷fler & Co., O.]. March 10. Radio-thorium, depositing. - Radio-thorium in a comparatively pure condition is obtained on a cathode consisting of platinum, silver, or other metal or alloy in the form of foil, sheet, wire, or the like. A platinum or carbon anode may be used. The electrolyte may be obtained by treating meso-thorium residues with acid and water successively. A current density of 2 to 6 amperes per square decimetre may he employed, the pressure being 3 volts.
