Punctures, apparatus for closing.-A short liner or gaiter for repairing damaged pneumatic tyres, or for preventing puncture, is formed of raw pig-skin or other raw hide a having the oils or greases extracted therefrom. The liner is covered on one or both sides with canvas or like material b<1> secured by solution or other like adhesive, and the inner layer of canvas may have extended edges b<2> which are gripped between the tyre and rim.
