Abstract

191,269. Harrison, N. Dec. 21, 1921. Rotary sieves are provided with a number of lifting vanes E extending longitudinally through the sieves and projecting from the inner surface at such an angle that an extension of their upper surfaces when lifting would pass over the shaft D. The vanes are detachable and the angle variable by the interposition of packing pieces H. Plates I disposed at a suitable angle may be provided on the lifting plates to move the material from the inlet to the discharge end of the sieve. In addition other propelling plates L may be provided and secured to the surface of the sieve in spaced relation thereto by the interposition of packing pieces N. The spaces M so provided are graded in size according to the size of the mesh in the sections of the sieve, increasing from the inlet to the discharge end.
