Abstract

27,004. Wakefield, C. C. Nov. 23. Check or non-return valves. - A non-return valve for force-feed lubricators, designed to prevent steam from entering the lubricantreservoir, comprises a spring-pressed piston B with a central bore b and a lateral port b<1> opening, when the valve is pushed back, into an enlargement A<2> in the casing. The piston is in line with the conduit A' by which the lubricant approaches the valve. The stem B<2> is guided in a cap C. A shoulder B<1> on the stem is pressed by the spring against a seating in the casing A. A test valve D, controlling a passage D<1>, is provided.
