Lace.-Relates to the production of " everlasting net" along with openwork, Swiss, and combination effects and four-gait and two-gait clothing on a curtainlace machine provided with three guide-bars and two single - lift jacquards. " Everlasting net" is distinguished from muslin, Madras, Swiss effects, &c. in that the thread forming it does not return to its own pillar immediately after tying with a neighbouring pillar, but completes at least two ties therewith, thus producing a stronger fabric. Thick spool threads a, fine spool threads b, and warp threads c are controlled by guide - bars d, e, f, and the pickers g may be held in three different positions namely j, k, l, clear of all threads, or engaging threads a, or engaging all threads. A cycle of six half-revolutions is employed.
