Abstract
20,665. Figgins, G. W. Sept. 10. Finger-plates for doors are formed with a flange b to engage and protect the edge of the door. The flange may be recessed into the edge of the door so as to be flush therewith and a second plate may be secured to the opposite side of the door, the widths of the flanges b, b<1> being such as to clear the usual door fittings. The plate is secured by screws, nails, or V-shaped tangs bent out of the plate, and according to the Provisional Specification, the plates may be made of metal, wood, celluloid, or other suitable material.
