Spindle apparatus.- The caps or bushes employed for securing plugs b, which carry paper tubes upon which yarn is wound on ring- spindles, are screwed, on the inside or outside, and a screw or key, which co-operates with the screwed portion, is used to release the caps or bushes from the spindles. The bushes may be disposed within a recess in the plug as shown in Fig. 6, or they may be provided with tooth-shaped projections d, e, Fig. 2, so as to avoid the formation between the cap or bush and the plug of any gap or nick wherein the yarn may be caught. Specifications 24,194/97 and 13,641/12 are referred to.
