Abstract

11,242. Neuhafer, M., and Levi, M. May 11. Bristels, fixing.- Brushes in which the tufts project through holes in a tray-like member containing cement and provided with a backing, are made by placing the tray a, which has integral or separable flanges b, underneath a mould d with countersunk or tapered holes e through which the bristles are sifted. The mould and tray are then reversed and, after pressing the bristles down to the correct position, the tray is filled with cement and the backing added. When the tray and backing are of metal they may be secured together by turning over the edges of the flange b.
