Abstract

9946. Provan, J. W. April 26. Handles. - The grip portion of a golf club shaft is provided with finger grooves 4, Fig. 2, curved longitudinally as shown and substantially straight transversely. The grooves are situated relative to the club head in approximately the position shown in Fig. 4, and may be formed in the shaft itself or in a plate secured to the shaft. A wrapping of flexible material is afterwards applied.
