[Addition to 7865/12.] Formaldehyde sulphoxylate derivatives of 3:3<1>-diamino-4:4<1>-dioxyarsenobenzene are produced by the action of the sulphoxylate upon alcoholic solutions of salts of 3:3<1>-diamino-4:4<1>- dioxyarsenobenzene. Suitable alcohols are methyl and ethyl alcohols, glycol, glycerine, &c. The products, which are purer than those obtained as described in the parent Specification, are useful in therapeutics.
