The bonds shown in Figs. 1 and 4 consist of flat metal hoops b of rectangular or circular shape and provided with clips c, which may be threaded on the hoops and locked in position by means of lugs e, or may engage slits in the hoops. The main bars are spaced apart by passing them through the clips c. The shear members consist of loops a, Figs. 5 and 6, with detachably twisted ends f, Fig. 5. or with the ends crossed or twisted together over the top bar and carried outwards as shown in Fig. 6, or the ends may be carried outwards without being crossed or twisted.
