Jackets; lids and covers; bottoms. - Porringers, milk saucepans, &c. comprise an ordinary saucepan 5, fitted with a loose ring 1 of light character and preferably of metal to keep in the steam, and an inner pot 2 of earthenware, porcelain, or metal, having rings 6 on the bottom to provide water space under it. The ring 1 slopes downwards from its inner edge and has an upstanding part 11, which fits inside the rim of the saucepan. The pot 2 may have a bail or other handle, and its lid is adapted to fit the aperture of the ring when the saucepan 5 is to be used without the pot 2
