Abstract

[Addition to 19,874/11.] Rotary cylindrical valves.-The trap described in the parent Specification is provided with a positive closing device in addition to the device that is automatically closed by damming the water. The positive closing device comprises a curved valve 6 sliding on a seat at the end of the outlet pipe 3 and connected to an operating- spindle 8 engaging bearings in extensions from the pipe 3. The operating-lever 12 is mounted in a perforated member 10 secured to the spindle and engaging a recess 14 in the cover 13 of the damming-tank.
