[Cognate Application, 26,335/11.] Oscillating cylindrical valves.-In an internalcombustion engine, a cylindrical oscillating plug-valve F , mounted in a casing on the cylinder head, is provided with a deep rectangular packing frame L, formed in one piece and pressed outwards by springs M, and this frame surrounds the cylinder-port D when the valve is in mid-position. According to Provisional Specification 26,335/11, the packing- frame may be formed in two pieces with the ends overlapping.
