24,890. Higbee, O. J. W. June 28, [Convention date]. Cold and heat retaining vessels.-Relates to air or vacuum insulated glass vessels. An inner vessel A is inserted into an outer open-bottomed vessel B, and the necks 1, 3 are fused together. A concave glass bottom C having a central aperture 8 is then fused on to the lower end of the outer vessel B. The air is exhausted from the space E and the aperture 8 sealed; or the air may be allowed to remain. The bottom of the vessel, particularly the sealed aperture 8, is protected by a metal cap D, Fig. 6.
