Impact pulverizers; wet grinding.-In a centrifugal grinding or sliming machine for reducing sand or coarse particles of any material to slimes, the pulp is fed by a pipe H into a rapidly-revolving cylindrical or conical drum C having a number of projecting tubes E by means of which the material is thrown against the inside of a stationary cylindrical pan A. The pan is provided with stepped wall liners B and conical bottom liners P, and vanes or brackets are attached to the exterior of the drum. Flint or other pebbles to increase the abrasive action are introduced through a door T, and the material is discharged through a top or bottom outlet J, which is adjustable and has a scoop - shaped mouthpiece K.
