Abstract

Pendulum-weight apparatus; computing-apparatus.-Relates to a weighing and counting machine of the kind wherein a flexible band pulls upwards on a pendulum arm as described in Specification 14,495/09. According to the present invention, the pendulum arm is balanced about its pivot and carries at its extremity a cradle for the reception of loose weights or of a number of articles similar to those being weighed. The scale pan q is suspended from one arm of a balanced lever d, a stirrup s being provided for the tare. The lever d is connected bv a flexible band e and cam c to an arm a which is balanced about its pivot l and carries a hair-line indicator b. A cradle k supported on conical bearings is adjustable radially along the arm a, the adjustment being compensated for by a movable weight i. The indicator b moves over a scale graduated in weights or in numbers adapted to be read according to the contents of the cradle.
