Abstract

21,617. Fenlon, H. T. Sept. 30. Sectional boilers.-Relates to gas-heated sectional boilers for hot-water heating-systems and of the kind described in Specifications 493/65, 2921/71, [Class 64, Heating], and 4419/75. Superposed flat sections 10 having recesses 13 in the upper faces are supported upon a base 1 consisting of an annular water space 2 enclosing a combustion chamber. The bottoms of the sections and the sides of the combustion chamber are formed with projections 12, 7. The arrangement of the flue-passages 14 in the sections compel the heating-gases to pass between the sections in a sinuous course. The water-spaces communicate through ferrules connecting the sections. Apertures are provided to afford access between the sections in order to clean the flues.
