Abstract

19,730. Halliday, A. Sept. 5. Ear-rings. - An ear-ring which grips the ear with yielding pressure comprises a length of spring wire A, bent in the form of an 8 and terminating in gripping jaws A'. When the lower portion is pressed, the jaws open to release the ear; stops A<4> may be provided to limit the outward movement of the jaws. A loop A<2> is provided on the lower portion, to receive an ornament B and to increase the elasticity of the device.
