Abstract

19,223. Bleach, W. H. Aug. 31, 1910, [Convention date]. Flexible strips.-To rectangular bars of wood or metal in the same axial line are hinged a flexible strip of metal 22 arranged so that when the bars are adjusted longitudinally by right- and left-handed screws 25, the strip 22 is forced to assume a curved form as shown. In a modified construction, the strip 22 is fitted with pins 28 passing through holes in plates 27, which slide and may be clamped upon the bars 20 by thumb-screws 32. A strip 34 attached to one bar indicates on the other bar by marks on the face 35 the versed sine of the curve formed by the strip.
