Drawing wire.-In a multiple wire-drawing machine in which the dies 2 are inclined to the vertical and are submerged in lubricant, stepped cone drums are employed on an inclined shaft so that the wires leaving the dies are in the same plane. Two such cone drums b, b<1>, Fig. 3, driven at different speeds are preferably employed, and the drum b is cooled by fluid introduced by a pipe l and discharging by a pipe m of larger diameter, which is formed with a curved end r.
