Abstract

17,285. K³htz, F. July 29, 1910, [Convention date]. Rotary - mould - table machines. - Relates to a rotary dough-divider in which dough fed by a worm 1 into one of a series of cylinders 2 moves back the piston 5 and sets into operation mechanism for rotating the divider to bring another cylinder into filling position and also mechanism for ejecting the measured dough from the previouslyfilled cylinder. T h e cylinders 2 are mounted in a rotary member 3 which is intermittently rotated by gearing 28, 26, operated from a driven shaft 19 through a clutch 20 and elliptic gearing 24, 25. As the cylinders 2 are filled, the rods 6, Fig. 1, of the pistons 5 move back until they butt against stops 7 adjustably mounted on rods 8, which, through levers 11, 12 and rods 13, deflect a lever or levers 14 and rock a shaft 15 carrying the clutch lever 18, causing the clutch 20 to be closed. A disk 17 maintains the lever 14 in its deflected position against the action of a spring 29 until the next cylinder is in position, whereupon the end of the lever drops into a recess 16 in the disk. The spring 29 then throws the clutch 20 into engagement with a member 30, which engages with a gear 31, Fig. 4, on a shaft 32 carrying a pinion 33 engaging with a rack 6<1> on the piston 6 of the filled cylinder, causing the piston 5 to move forward and eject the dough. At the end of this movement, a lever 34, Figs. 1 and 2, carried by the rod 6 engages with a collar 13<1> on the rod 13 and disconnects the clutch 20, the rod being retained by a detent 35 acted upon by a spring 37. When the cylinder again comes into the filling position, the detent 35 is deflected by means of an arm 38 engaging a cam 39. A knife 40, attached to the framework, cuts off the ejected dough. The feed may be automatically interrupted by suitable gearing and two feed screws may be employed instead of one. The dough may be fed into the upper cylinder, and more than two cylinders can be employed.
