Abstract

16,907. Siemens Bros. Dynamo Works, [Siemens-Schuckertwerke]. July 24. Transformers. - Earthing-devices for electric supply systems comprising an arrangement of choking-coils such that when one main becomes earthed, the corresponding coil is liable to become damaged owing to short-circuit currents therein, are provided with an extra unwound limb of magnetic material, normally carrying no flux but adapted to carry out-of-balance fluxes set up by disturbances in the system. In the three-phase example shown, the choking- coils p<1>, p<2>, p<3> are wound upon a core k having an extra limb k<1> for the purpose referred to.
