15,486. Wills, D. G. July 3. Envelopes.-Relates to envelopes of the kind provided with an inspection aperture, or a transparent portion, through which the address on the enclosure is visible. The envelope consists of a back, gummed end-flaps GF, GSF, side flaps EF, and a transparent portion TP having an opening B through which the gummed edge M<1> of the flap GSF adheres to the enclosure. The transparent portion TP may be either loose, or integral with one of the side flaps. As an additional security, the postage stamp may be stuck over the junction of the end and top flap. A double row of perforations P may be provided round the back or round the back of a similar envelope provided with an inspection aperture, to facilitate opening, and so that the back may serve as a reply post-card.
