Franking letters.-The letter, postcard, &c., inserted in a slot q, is drawn between a pair of rollers a, b, of which the upper roller a carries the stamp r and preferably also a series of dies s for embossing the envelope, and passes from the rollers to the bottom of the apparatus or into a special letter receptacle.
