Abstract

10,551. Elektromotoren-Werke Hermann Gradenwitz. Sept. 22, 1910, [Convention date]. [Addition to 10,550/11.] Electric equipment.-In a vehicle provided with lifting and lowering apparatus, the controller, which is operated from a remute point, consists of two drum sections, one of which completes propelling and hoisting circuits and the other permits current to flow to the motors or to the operating circuit. The arrangement is applied to systems of the type described in the parent Specification and the switches g, c are similar to the switches described therein. The drum sections i<1>, i<11> on the vehicle are connected by a toothed coupling l, and are kept in engagement by a spring z. The section i<11> is directly connected to the core k of the controlling- magnet, which has two windings m, n. When the switch g is closed, current flows through the collector L, winding m, contacts s, t, u, and winding n to ground. The core k operates the drum section i<11> and this operates the section i<1> through the coupling l. As the section i<11> approaches the end of its movement, the finger u passes off the contact plate t, and the current passes from the plate t through the finger w, contact ring y on the drum section i<1>, and the motor in operation at the time to the ground. The fingers s, u are connected by a resistance which completes a maintaining-circuit for the windings m, n, so that the core k is not released if one of the cut-outs 3, 4 operates.
