Aerating or oxidizing ; reagents; tanks; processes.-The dehydration of mud or slime from sewage &c. by means of centrifugal machines, filter-presses, or similar apparatus is facilitated by treating the mud with ozone or ozonized air in order to prevent fermentation. With the apparatus shown, air from the ozonizer b is passed into the mud in the receptacle f through the perforated pipe d. A stirring-apparatus may be provided.
