Exhaust-silencers are formed of cup-shaped elements a, the sides of the elements forming the casing and the perforated ends partitions, which cause the gases to take an indirect path. Small holes may replace the openings shown. Longitudinal stays b either internal or external, or both, are used to assemble the parts.
