7698. Leah, W. A. March 28. Rod rests.-The rod is placed in a support A pivoted at the top of a stand H. Attached to A is a ratchet-wheel B acted on by a pawl D, which is pivoted at E to the top of the stand and is kept in engagement by a spring F. The support A can thus he inclined to any extent in either direction and held there. Attached to the stand H is an adjustable clamp I to facilitate attachment to a rail or the like.
