Inspection openings, closures for.-Consists in providing the upper portion of the frames of manhole and lamp-hole covers with continuous or intermittent V-shaped recesses c, as shown in Fig. 2 (Comp.), which prevent the road material leaving the frame. It is also stated in the Provisional Specification that the recesses may be vertical, as shown at b, Fig. 2 (Provl.), or concave. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 666/05 and 12,743/10.
