4875. Fiske, W. G. Feb. 27. Boards; coated paper.-Cardboard, suitable for the manufacture of boxes or containers for tea, biscuits, &c. consists of not less than three layers of card or like material together with intervening films or layers of pitch adapted to serve both as the adhesive and as means for opposing the infiltration of moisture-laden air. According to the Provisional Specification, the cardboard may be coated on one or both sides with a layer of paraffin wax or equivalent material.
