Abstract

2604. Boucherie, M. March 12, 1910, [Convention date]. Waterproofing.-Sacks and tissues used in making them are waterproofed &c. by heating and then impregnating with a waterproofing &c. agent by means of the pressure and vacuum process described in Specification 17,002/09. Excess of the liquid may be removed by vacuum, hot air, hot water, steam, &c. and mechanical pressure. The Specification as open to inspection under Section 91 (3) (a) comprises also the following matter:-The sacks &c. are treated by any of the known processes for injecting wood; for example, (1) they are placed in a closed vessel, and a suitable liquid is injected under pressure, and, after a certain time, they are withdrawn and dried; (2) they are heated and then treated as in (1) above; (3) they are heated in a cylinder, exposed to a vacuum, and then injected under pressure in the same cylinder, and dried. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
