Abstract
1296. Grice, H. J. Jan. 18. Connecting-rods. -The body of the rod is prolonged at B and provided with a circular projection F, which engages a groove in a cap G to keep it in position. Between the cap G and the brass D is placed a block C held in position by bolts H, H', the heads of which pass through holes in the cap G. The cap prevents the block from breaking loose when the bolts fracture. Rotary motion of the cap is prevented by set-pins J. The bolt heads may be replaced by screwed collars to facilitate assembling.
