Abstract

191,082. Akerlund, A. O. Jan. 2, 1922, [Convention date]. R÷ntgen-ray apparatus.-A rotary screen for radiography or radioscopy, adapted to be placed between the object and the fluorescent screen or sensitive plate, for the purpose of intercepting secondary rays, is characterized by the provision of a series of non-intersecting spiral strips a, b, c, d of lead other material impervious to X-rays radiating in a common plane from the centre to the periphery of the shield, the faces of the strips being at all points parallel to radial lines from the X-ray source f. The strips are uniformly arranged around the centre, and the pitch of the spiral form is preferably great.
