Plastic compositions containing cellulose acetate.-In the manufacture of celluloid-like masses, acetyl-cellulose is kneaded with small amounts of camphor substitute, such as dichlorhydrin, manol (acetyl-methyl-aniline), or naphthyl acetate, and small amounts of liquids which dissolve the said admixtures while being precipitants for the acetyl-cellulose, or these liquids may be solvents for the acetyl-cellulose as well as the camphor substitutes, but are used in insufficient quantity to effect a solution. Specification 19,735/08 is referred to.
